A have a few Russian (now American!) friends. (Actually one is from Belarus). And I've read Dostoevsky and Nabokov in college. Nabokov has some very strange thoughts! Each book has that very same theme... very odd... There have been a couple American film versions of "Lolita" but I'm not sure any got it right...
